“Theatre as tool to analyze conflicts”

 

Dear Friends,

Form 12 to 13 of February 2011, Forum ZFD and its partner NGO TCMC is organizing a training that aims to further promote theatre as tool to analyze and manage conflict. Forum theatre style/technique and devising theatre scenes (Developing scenes which connect to real issues) will be the core topics of the training.

Mr. Jon Nicolas and Mr. Peter Smith from the “Wolf And Water” theatre company from England will be the eminent trainers of this event. Both of them have long standing experience in introducing Theatre as tool for conflict analyses and both of them have been engaged over long period of time in the Balkan region.  

The training is dedicated for professionals, trainers and activists that work in the field of Peacebuilding and Human rights. The program will allow participants the opportunity to practice Forum facilitation, and it will be done using interactive exercises, attaching them to academic and conflict management models. Basically this is training for Forum theatre that includes Games for activists, Techniques to obtain relevant stories and narrative, as well as Methods of involving audiences.

Forum ZFD has welcomes all professionals and practitioners that want to make use of theatre as tool for analyzing conflicts.  Participation fee for two working days is 100 Euro. per person. Possible reduction of the participation fee could be done to our partners and collaborators that are in need.

Deadline for announcing participation 08.02.2011, 16:00 h. 

Working language will be English.
